Job Description

1. Participating in the planning of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

2. Implementing the planned curriculum, understanding and taking into consideration the different needs and abilities.

3. Creating a conducive, safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment to help promote and enhance the all-round development and well-being of the children.

4. Maintaining an appropriate code of conduct for children with regards to classroom management and discipline for the children.

5. Instilling in the children a sense of respect for their elders, teachers, friends and the environment.

6. Interacting appropriately with the children at all times (choice of words and manners).

7. Maintaining communication with the parents with regards to their children’s progress at school through: -
7.1 Scheduled parent-teacher meetings
7.2 Children’s portfolios
7.3 Formal meetings with parents when necessary or requested

8. Working co-operatively with the Management Team (Director, General Manager, Principal and Administrator), Head of Curriculum, Head of Department, Co-Teachers and other members of the Staff.

9. Maintaining a professional code of conduct as teacher/assistant teacher at all times by having:
9.1 An appropriate dress-code
9.2 An appropriate channel of communication with the staff
9.3 An appropriate channel of communication with the children
9.4 An appropriate channel of communication with parents and the public

10. Participating in all scheduled/unscheduled school activities.

11. Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

1. Passionate in working with young children
2. Able to work in a team
3. Able to teach/speak in Mandarin and Music
4. Candidate must possess at least SPM/“O” Level/Diploma/Advanced/Graduate Diploma in Education/Teaching/Training/Early Childcare qualification or any related course
