UPM Music Cares: Music Therapy & Autism Seminar

Event Description

The main aim of this seminar is to educate Malaysians about the benefits of music therapy as a treatment modality for autism spectrum disorder and to provide hands-on training on how to use music to help treat autism.

We acknowledge the excellent work that your organization is already involved in. Through this seminar, we are providing you with a rare opportunity to learn more about music therapy from experts themselves and discover how it can be used to enhance your existing scope of care.

This 2-day seminar combines one and a half days of evidence-based research presentations, clinical demonstrations and workshops with a half day evening concert. Presenters consist of local and international academicians from UPM, certified music therapists (trained in UK, US and Australia), music educators, physicians, clinical psychologists and caregivers of special needs children, all of whom either have experience working with special needs both locally and internationally, or are themselves caregivers of special children.
